HGC CONSTRUCTION CO.  JOB DESCRIPTION 

POSITION TITLE:     ACCOUNTING CLERK/PAYROLL PROCESSOR

REPORTS TO:          OFFICE MANAGERI.                  

 PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

This person will be responsible for processing payroll, certified payroll reports, payroll deductions, and garnishments. Additional responsibilities include, maintaining attendance records, and additional accounting and administrative duties.  

This position requires a high level of confidentiality and professionalism. 

II.                 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

v  Processing payroll weekly in-house for three companies, approximately 135 employees, this includes:

o   Reviewing and collecting timesheets

o   Entering data into Computer Ease

o   Review for accuracy

o   Prepare and issue payroll checks

o   ACH transmittal for direct deposit, taxes, and child support

v  Responsible for processing all certified payroll reports and collecting and reviewing certified payroll reports for all subcontractors

v  Set up and process direct deposits, payroll deductions and garnishments

v  Maintain attendance records

v  Additional accounting and administrative duties

v  Strong PC skills

v  Knowledge of Microsoft Office Environment

v  Working knowledge of Computer Ease Software is a plus

v  Detail oriented

v  Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material
